ERIC ISENBERG INTERVIEWS JOSH BRYANT ABOUT MATT POE
1. As a world record holder in powerlifting, what qualities of Matt Poe attracted you to train with him for the Atlantis Strongest Man in America Contest in 2005?
MATT IS AN INTENSE GUY. MATT CLEARLY IS AN AUTHORITY ON STRENGTH TRAINING. I GUESS IN A NUTSHELL HIS SECOND TO NONE KNOWLEDGE OF BIOMECHANICS, INTENSE ATTITUDE, AND HIS CONSISTENCY TO SHOW UP TO ALL THE WORKOUTS.
"The EXTREME MARATHON will be the first of its kind. It will be 9 miles of heart and soul. I am in the process of determining the date. There will be a cash prize. Yes, men and women can both participate. I am in the business of selling CONFIDENCE. Everyone who participates and finishes will leave with a new sense of accomplishment a bit different from trail running or traditional marathon running"---Matt Poe

Below is the Captain of the Raw Dog Powerlifting Team
Coach Poe was elected by the TEAM RAW to be Tennessee's official captain. We have no idea who the Raw Dogs really are, but, we appreciate the sponsorship and support of RAW lifting.
Bigger, Faster, Stronger on Board As Minor Sponsor
Bigger, Faster, Stronger has shown support to Matt Poe as a minor sponsor. Matt will train with "The Mega Hex Bar" in his training for the Texas Strongest Man Contest.
"What I like about the "Mega Hex" is that there is no flex from the floor. I feel safe with great amounts of weight loaded onto this bar. The grip is also a good diameter to build the proper grip strength".----Matt Poe
With a direct line of power "counter weight" added onto the back of this bar, this exercise becomes one of the most difficult learning devices in the free weight world.
"I executed 30 to 40 bad lifts learning on this bar, before I perfected the form. The transition to the "Mega Hex" was much more easy".----Matt Poe
